ReSpool — Privacy

ReSpool writes NFC tags for 3D printer filament spools. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What leaves your phone

One thing, in one situation. When you scan a genuine Anycubic spool tag, the details of that filament product are sent to a public catalogue so other people can write the same filament without owning a reel of it:

• the product SKU, material name and colour
• its printing temperatures, speeds, weight and length

What never leaves your phone

• The tag's serial number. It identifies a physical spool and is never transmitted.
• Anything identifying you or your device — no device id, no IP-based profiling, no name, email or location.
• Tags written by the app. Only factory Anycubic tags are shared, because only those describe a real product.
• Your spool library, tag backups and settings. These stay on the device.

Your choice

You are told this the first time the app opens and can decline there. Sharing can be turned off at any time under About → Share scans with the catalogue. With it off, nothing is uploaded and the catalogue others have built still works.

Where it is stored

The shared catalogue is held in Cloudflare Workers KV and served publicly at the root of this domain — you can read the whole thing at any time. Because submissions carry nothing personal, there is nothing to request the deletion of; if an entry is wrong, it can be corrected by scanning a genuine spool, which supersedes it.

Children

The app is a tool for 3D printer owners and is not directed at children.
